A Brief History of the Digital and Web Evolution at The Kabbalah Centre:

When the Kabbalah Centre first opened its doors to anyone interested in learning about Kabbalah in 1971, the only way to spread the Light was by going door to door in every neighborhood and talking to whoever would open their doors. This was called “Charisha,” which in Hebrew means ‘plowing the fields’ in preparation of the planting season. This process was not easy, never comfortable, and incredibly slow. But over time, more people got excited by Kabbalah and began to speak about it with others. Opening Kabbalah Centres around the world in the 1980s and 1990s was only possible because enough people got together as a result of the door-to-door operations.

When Kabbalah.com launched in 1998, it revolutionized how the wisdom became accessible to the masses. As more people showed an interest, Student Support was launched as a way to reach out to everyone who would call, email, or write to us. It marked a new era of bringing Kabbalah to the world. Instead of only in-person meetings, teachers began meeting on video chats and over the phone. Intros, lectures, and courses were held remotely for the first time.

In 2007, we launched Kabbalahuniversity.com, a space where all lectures could live, and all students could study this great wisdom. As our website, technology, and hardware has evolved, so has our approach. In 2017 we merged Kabbalah University and Kabbalah.com to bring you the website you know today, with live streams, events, recorded lessons and classes, and the OneHouse Community Membership that allows you to connect to all those options.

Today, we’re constantly working to make Kabbalah.com and all of its features even better –faster, more user-friendly, and even more global.

Our goals and how we’re working to meet them:

  • Supporting existing students – We’re always looking for ways to make studying easier and more engaging through simplicity and speed, as well as offering more content and more tools for students to stay connected to the wisdom more often.

  • Reaching new students – To be as accessible as possible, we strive to have more content translated into more languages; we’ve introduced various payment options and are always producing new content in new topics and lengths to reach new types of students.

Ways in which your support helps:

With your support, we have taken our digital and web services to another level, including:

  • Editing and producing more life-changing content, creating more study paths and ways to pursue individual topics – all to enhance the student experience and deepen growth

  • Providing more content in more languages, reaching new countries and regions as we break more language-barriers

  • Launching the Kabbalah Centre app, making the wisdom available at students’ fingertips

  • Improving our website features and constantly working to make it even more user-friendly

  • Revamping Zohar.com, the single largest resource on the Zohar in the world

  • Offering On-Demand access to content to provide more learning options to our students, helping them learn on their schedule

  • Supporting the A/V, IT, and digital storage of our ever-expanding content

  • Hiring more staff/programmers to exponentially expand our online presence with more features online and on the app

  • Providing more and better customer support

  • Upgrading our infrastructure and general IT upgrades to adapt to higher demand and improving audio/video standards

  • Upgrading our existing systems to better support students

  • Shifting our registration and information systems to be more global instead of regional

Our digital and web capabilities are essential to building our communities around the world; data shows that more people are studying longer, and a higher student retention means more people armed with the tools and wisdom of Kabbalah are out there changing themselves and the world every day.

Please consider supporting our web and digital needs so we can continue to inspire you and bring change to the

Thanks to the Centre’s website, I was able to study remotely because we do not have a Centre in our city. Through all the information I was receiving, the Zoom before the pandemic was also key, and the support they gave me with mentors and recorded audios post-class, all that helped me to study all the way up to Kabbalah 6. Now, I meet with other students to watch the Zohar classes and am connected to the community in my country, where I have a teacher and am volunteering full-time with the Centre.
