South Sudan Refugee Crisis

South Sudan, the world’s youngest country, gained its independence from Sudan in 2011, but quickly descended into civil war in December 2013. As the conflict has progressed and a man-made famine has spread across the country, tens of thousands have been killed and more than one million people — roughly nine percent of South Sudan’s population — have fled into neighboring countries.

To help address this urgent situation of human suffering, Kabbalah Centre Charitable Causes has partnered with iAID – a non-profit, non-governmental organization – to bring life-saving food supplies to South Sudanese refugees who have fled to Gulu, Uganda.
